TRAVELERS PUSHES HIGH VALUE HOME COVERAGE

Travelers Property Casualty promotes it's personal property cover for highly-valued homes in California. AFG Partners serves as wholesale broker and accepts submissions from independent agents in California. Quotes are provided within 48 hours. ACORD applications are accepted. AFG Partners writes the cover on Gulf Underwriters, a nonadmitted subsidiary of Travelers Property Casualty.

Travelers Property and Casualty offers standard covers for hard-to-place homes valued in excess of $500,000. Underwriters do not set any age requirements on homes. Premiums begin at $2,500. Deductibles start at $2,500.

The all-risk policy covers the main dwelling, other structures and contents. Coverages include $5,000 limits each for credit cards and silverware; $2,500 limits each for securities and jewelry; $1,000 each for money, refrigerated food spoilage and trees and $500 limits for fire department service charge. Optional covers include backup of sewers and drains engineering costs and rebuilding to code, $500 limits for business property and $500 for lock replacement.
